I Resolve to...

Happy New Year!  It is officially time where many people...most people...okay, okay...

Me, myself and I...

bring out the tired, old and worn resolutions of so many yesteryear's that I have lost count. I think I may have made them all at least once in my lifetime, but...

NO MORE!!

NOT THIS YEAR!!

***********************************************************

I declare war on all the cliche resolutions like:
  • ask for raise
  • look for new job (hmmm)
  • lose weight
  • eat healthy
  • exercise more
  • stop smoking, drinking, body piercing
  •  whatever!!
I have been looking at New Year resolutions all wrong for all these years; yes indeedy...

Why set myself up for continued humiliation and defeat?
Why not try something different?
I need a fresh, new approach for starting the New Year and I believe I may have discovered it!

I give you...

my new, improved resolution list following...(drum rollll, plu..eeze!)

The  Dr Seuss Approach to the New Year!

1.  “Think left and think right and think low and think high. Oh, the thinks you can think up if only you try!”

2.  “If things start happening, don't worry, don't stew, just go right along and you'll start happening too.”

3.  “Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.”

4.  “Think and wonder, wonder and think.”

5.  “You'll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You'll get mixed up with many strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life's a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dexterous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.”

And last, but not least....

 6.  "I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!”

************************************************************

With that have a very Happy New Year!!
